Mike Colosimo is a local Twin Cities drummer with an extreme passion for music. He’s a student at McNally Smith College of Music here in Saint Paul. Mike started playing when he was about 12 years old, and has been infatuated with the drums ever since. He started taking lessons from Phil Santillan, who was the worship leader at his church back in 2003. Throughout the next 8 years, Mike took lessons from Aaron Johnson and Steve Goold, and has played at various churches such as High Point, Westbridge, Open Door, The Crossing and Emmanuel Christian Center. As of lately Mike has been giving lessons and playing in his band Acoustic Revolver, a local cover band here in the metro area.

“I started Twin City Drums so kids could have the same experience I did growing up. Playing drums became my life and my absolute favorite thing in this world to do. I wish I could have started playing even earlier. Starting lessons at a young age is very important and I believe if a child has interest in something, that they should pursue it at their fullest. Implementing good habits and technique at a young age is so crucial to becoming a successful drummer. It takes a lot of hard work, dedication and patience to play any instrument, and I want to help kids set up a foundation so they can follow their dream as well.”
